This series of round paintings with black frames is created as if a portal into the polar bear world, as if one was looking through a scope to intimately view this magnificent bear. This polar bear appears to becoming one with the northern lights, a forewarning that in the future, the spirit of the polar bear may be all we have left to admire.
As if looking through a scope, a polar bear is spotted paused in the dark of the arctic night. I think it senses spring is coming, evident by the melted snow at its feet.
